I think this song is about how she had bad relationships in the past and how after each one she was able to heal the scar it left, but each time it left her heart frozen. Then she met someone new, someone who was able to melt her cold heart and everyone around her is trying to stop her because they see the same thing happening again, but she doesn't care anymore because she just wants to feel love. No matter how many times it leaves her scarred and broken, she just wants to feel love, that's why she's constantly bleeding love.
The crazy thing is. I can actually really relate to this song. It's kinda how my heart is now. I'm falling in love with someone and I'm not even sure where the two of us stand since he is away at training and communicating is kinda hard. And it hearts to be falling in love with someone, not sure if they feel the same way, it just feels like I'm just waiting to get my heart ripped to shreds.

I think this song is abot how the ending of her past relationships never hurt his badly. Its about how she was so in love with sombody who just ended it with her, that it feels like he is cutting her open and she can't stop bleeding love. And when she talks about their pirecing voices, and how they are only trying to keep her from falling. I think that part is about her friends trying to talk her out of loving him and trying to cheer her up, but all she really wants to do is love him, even though he doesn't love her.
I kind of know how she feels. Because a few months ago, a guy that I am absoulutly crazy about dumped me. And it hurt so bad. None of my freinds know that it still hurts, that I am still "bleeding love". But I am. And it sucks.

In the video looks like they got in a fight in the beginning and the guy left and the girl was gonna go tell him (the chorus) but it was too late. I love her! I think this song is about someone who has been in some bad relationships before that didn't work out so she just decided to give up on love. Once some time goes by it gets easier and easier to live without love, you just get used to it. Before you know it your frozen. Then she met someone who she fell in love with but the people who know her don't want to her to get hurt again so they are telling her to be careful and reminding her about how people are so she doesn't let herself fall in love so fast. But once you're heart's been "frozen" for so much time falling in love feels so great, like its been brought back to life, ripped open and just pouring out love. I think what she is saying is that she can't help it, she's already in love with him. Hes already gotten to her heart and no matter what now she's going to be in love with him, weather its a good idea or not.

If no one was to ever post a negative comment, then it would be a compliment board, rather than comment. Technically this is a meaning board. So let's not get too technical. Negativity toward something is a human emotion. I'm not a fan of it, so I give it my true review. If the artist were to see the board (I seriously doubt it) she'd get false information and think everyone loves the song.
I write lyrics. Pretty often. And I let people see them. Sometimes positive; sometimes negative. But it doesn't hurt my feelings because they're being truthful.

Perhaps its a bit literal of me, but I'm thinking that this song is about closing yourself off to love and all it's pain. But then just as you least expect it, and no matter how hard you try to fight it, someone comes along and breaks down the walls that you found yourself building around your heart. "My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing. You cut me open and I keep bleeding..." its like saying that despite the fact that you've been closed off for so long, and no matter how you try to fight the feeling, it's there. And it doesn't seem to end.

She does a really good job of describing the pain of being in love, or the pain of loving someone even if they don't seem to love you back. I like to interpret this song as song by Jesus as He's hanging on the cross. I think this spin gives "bleeding love" a whole new meaning. It also provides a very real look at our position as ones who injure and pierce Him, yet even through His blood He loves us. Sadly, I believe this is a secular song and I think its meaning takes a much darker road. If you really read the lyrics, this song could leave you with one sad realization. That it is actually about a woman who is being abused by a lover. With friends trying to "pull her away" and "keep her from falling," along with the actually lyrics "You cut me open and I keep bleeding love." It's obvious that this song is directed towards a lover, and I'd say even more that the lover has harmed them either physically, verbally, or emotionally. I know this is a pretty dark take on it, but consider it for a moment. I like this meaning because it's very real to the emotions of a woman being abused by one she loves.

I was married once before, my 2nd husband is leaving me now, just after we had to be seperated for over two years because my daughter accused her stepdad of molesting her. Feeling love, feeling your heart tear apart when it is first taken from you.
