I have totally same experience with cutibutt.
"i traveled half way around the world to be with the one i loved. but only to find out he is with someone else. at the airport i called him for the last time."
he promised me that everything gonna be okay and we will be together very soon, but it never happend.
This song remind me of that bitter feeling. But love this song too.
