Hey banna1997, its perfectly ok 4 her 2 do that. Have you seen the movie hairspray? Well, they had a hairspray b4 that other hairspray they just recently made. Huh, what do you say 2 dat? Anyways, this song is 1000x better than the one in the 80s. I think that the people chose miley 2 do that song bcause she has a higher pitched voice like the girl who made it in the 80s. She just sounds more outgoing and fun. I love her!

Yo banana1997. Does the word "revived" rings to you. Its just like the song year3000 of the jonas brothers. They revived it from the band "BUSTED" a little friendly advice. "read and think about your comment first before posting it!" you may be put in jail for doing this! Lol! Haha!. "put in jail?" what in the world are you thinking. For saying miley can be put in jail. I bet the cyrus family is more smarter than you, and they know what their doing!. And I like miley's version. Oh, I'm sorry I was wrong. "I LOVE HER VERSION!"

Miley is not a copy cat or what, trust me, she have the permission, the talent & the vocal to so. What banna1997 says is a little to serious. If she have steel the song, the police would have caught her immediately, who will wait until now? Frankly both cindy lauper & miley sang very well. They have nice vocal. Just wanna let you know I'm just a girl & 10 years old and I would have thought Banna1997 is one of the culprit for the bisness.

I think miley has the right to do this becuz she asked the origanal singer first she wuls of got the cops called on first so stop saying she stole it both singers are great singers so all the miley haters knock it off and stop it

Wow! This song is awesome! And Miley Rockz! I really know all the lyris of Miley's song! This is my fave song I ever heard of! But not that I care. Because I'm Dontcare! Okay here is a little lesson for all the people supporting Miley doing this song you can not make a song better than the original no matter what you do. You can not change it and you can not put a new beat in it. And just because (and this should be right) mtv puts the original artist next to her name does not mean she gave it credit they did. Miley can't sing, Miley can't rock, and Miley can't sing the 80's. Got that. And I know you are going to vote this down and I don't give a sh! T. Like I say the original is always better no matter what.

I'm not overly fond of the original Cyndi Lauper version, but it is her song and it's a total classic. I don't like the fact that Miley Cyrus took a classic and totally changed it into this.
It isn't the worth version I've ever heard, but it isn't the best either. The arrangement is tolerable but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.
Cyrus is not good enough to take old 80s songs and change them up and sing them. She's a disney star, for heaven's sake. She needs to realize that she is not as important or good as she thinks she is.
