I completely disagree with all of you. I am a believer but this is totally an anti-God song. No where does she have an optomistic view about having a relationship with God. She says she wants to get away from the light, that she wants to turn it all of because of her spite. How she watches people she used to look up to crumble, and realizes that they are all just doing things to do them (cranking, turning) and that it's pointless because they are trying to reach a nonexistent goal. At no point does she admit that she's relying on her own strength and not God's and that ultimately this life isn't about reaching perfection, it's about following God's commands and realizing that we will are a cursed people and it is only through our Savior that we will go to heaven. Seriously, just because it mentions God doesn't mean it's a God song. Listen to all of her other lyrics on the cd. It's all questioning God.
