The song itself is ambiguous and targeted at a person the audience can't possibly know. But in response to firestar; how exactly does one go about getting one's own beliefs? There is nothing new under the sun, so in other words, everything you think is derived from something you learned somewhere else. There are no original thoughts. By that simple fact, we are all followers of something, so why not Jesus? You can't slam people for being followers since even leaders are followers of someone or something in the past. Anyone that says they're thoughts are unique is either a deceiver or deceived. Everything you do someone else did, the only choice in the matter is what world view you'll believe and who you'll follow. So lay off religious people. Everyone is a hypocrite, but at least religious folks realize it enough to turn to religion for redemption.
