Shaun, Shaun, Shaun. Its coming from the heart. I believe "I'll mend myself before it gets me" is a metaphor for the alcoholism which was worsened by the death of his brother, Genie. Of course we all know Shaun went to treatment for the alcohol. I feel so helpless is the pain and I'll rise above this is he'll find a way to overcome all of it. The suicide, the alcohol, doubt and fear. I could listen to Shaun Morgans voice the rest of my life and never get tired of him. He is pure awesome-Ness. I hope he gets to a happy, peaceful place and rip Genie :(
