Well in this song it is saying that he did do somethin wrong "i should have been drown in the rivers i've found token lost"& " i could have tired to devote my life to the both of us" so he is saying that he did do soemthing wrong which is good because he not just putting all the blame on amy lee and then he talks about how she was wrong also but that not the piont over all this song is amazing I love this band.

I feel this song is about inner strength and realization. I believe, he is talking about a relationship that is starting to go sour. Yet, in the process, she is trying to make him suffer more than she is. But, he knows what she is doing and it doesn't affect him. She tries to bring him down to her lever, but his inner strength knows what is happening. So, he lets her do these things in knowing that he is more of a man than she will ever know.

This song hurts me bc it holds so mic truth to what me and my child's father had. I gave him everything I had, my love my trust my mind body and sole it was all his. I'm still not sure how I gave it all to him but I did. He hurt me badly, bcoke this song says I gave it all to his life. It was never mine. I was lost in promises! He wanted to be a rockstar instead of my husband and father to my children, he just didn't tell me that before he changed. So now everyday I try and remind myself the man I loved is gone! Not coming back tho he's not a mile from my home. But I did stop letting him break me down last year. And god it still hurts!

Shaun himself said that this song had nothing to do with Amy he said "Amy and I, at our worst moments, were still better than this last girl and I at our best moments." so for those believing he was showing his side of the story, he's actually telling a completly different one altogether.
This is a really meaningful song, it shows that Seether isn't just a post-grunge band.

Yeah, this was definately written to show his side of the story. He's saying that no matter how hard you try to make him hate himself or how much you try to 'break him down' he's not going to yeild because he know that, even though he probably did s***w up somewhere, he knows that you can't blame one person like she's trying to. He knows that people make mistakes and he's not going to let you beat him up over it.
