It doesn't sound like anyone knows for sure what the song is about exactly. Maybe he thinks someone is being self-righteous by supposedly finding Christ? Who knows. However, I feel the need to point out some things in other people's remarks. One cannot legitimately criticize any Christian without acknowledging their standard as the correct one; if so, you have then placed yourself under it because it is a universal standard and exclusive. If you honestly think that everyone has a right to believe what they want then that also includes those who believe in shoving religion down your throat; if that's what they believe. To say that Christians shouldn't play a role in government or reflect their ideas in government is completely unfounded discrimination. By what authority would you claim that other worldviews people have are acceptable but the Christian worldview is not? Are you not trying to now persuade others into your belief? Why shove it down our throat?. Nevertheless, the songwriter sounds as though he is not ready to forgive whoever it is that has wronged him. But, if we all lived in that way (unforgiving) what kind of world would we live in. And, if anyone wants to criticize Christ, perhaps its a good idea to go directly to the sources (Bible) and see what is revealed about Him there. Fools tend to make their folly known.
