The part that says when satan tempts me to despair, and tells me of the guilt within, upward I look and see him there who made an end to all my sin, to me this means that no matter how much of a mistake you make satan is going to try and remind you of it and you have to think I am forgiven by god and satan is not going to hold me for this.

Jesus is our great high priest, our advocate to the father; when god looks on me, he sees jesus! Hallelujah for that grace! My name is graven on his hands-oh what beautiful hands they are; they were pierced for my sin and trangressions. My name is written on his heart - I am his child. I am in his heart at the deepest level of who he as the god almighty, the creator of heaven, earth, humanity, all creation, time, the universe. He created me, his child, in his image! Wow! I know that while in heaven he stands no tongue can bid me thence depart-satan is constantly parading all our sins, faults, past and present and jesus stands there to represent us. We are covered by his blood! What beautiful gift. These lyrics always choke me up and point me to the depth of his love for each of us individually. I praise god for this song! It means to me that in and of myself I cannot stand before the throne of god because of who I am! But because the sacrifice that was made on the cross of calvary, I stand with the righteousness of jesus! The righteous judge of all the earth is satisfied with the shedding of his son's blood! I will spend all eternity with the one who loved me and gave himself for me!

It means that there is always someone to look up to when everyone else look at me as if they have never sinned before, when I think I have sinned too bad that god will not forgive me I remember that there is a spotless, righteous lamb that had died for me. I discovered that there is absolutely nthing that I can do that will suprice god and there is no sin tht jesus exclueded when he died for me.
