I love this song. My meaning of it is even though you have nothing in this world - there are things that you can make possible in life. Its just magic. Having a great day is price less - being able to laugh is priceless, dreams are free - its all about loving life and being a simple person. Not rich in life financially but rich in the love of life itself. Its a great song! Love it.

The writer David Paton never got up early. He would stay awake at night playing and writing music, then sleeping late in the mornings. One day, he had to go somewhere early and told his wife to wake him. She said "you've never seen a daybreak". If you ever get up early it would be “magic”.

The meaning of this song was that the writer David Paton would never get up early. He would stay awake at night playing and writing music, then sleeping late into the days. One day he had to go someplace early and told his wife he had to get up early. She said " you've never seen a daybreak". If you ever get up early it would be magic. Now listen to the song again and it makes sense. I say him explain this in an interview.
