I was reading some other site's comments regarding the meaning of these lyrics. Teenage nonsense interpretations about arguing with mom and dad or about troubled relationships. Come on, this is muse. Go read the lyrics of take a bow in context. These lyrics have nothing to do with such superficial and trivial things. Look up what a muse is.
Artists have the ability to speak to the 'muses' so to speak. Whether they are consciously or just subconsciously aware of it, I don't know. We tend to project out emotions on words and interpret song lyrics however we want to. But such interpretations rarely fit the entire song, may be a sentence. That's because the only thing that does fit is crazy. It's crazy but it fits and it makes sense. And i'll leave that up to you to find out because it took be until my 30s to begin noticing these patterns.
"you and me are both one and the same" (that's not 'you complete me' relationship nonsense) and "you bully from a distance" and "your brain needs some assistance". Think really hard, you know what it means and yes it is crazy but that's the truth. Lift the veil. "i'll still take all the blame". It fits. You know what I am saying. Something is trying to tell you a message and artists are the medium for that message. If you don't understand, it's probably not meant for you. It's not meant for those who do not understand the abstract or metaphors.
