In this song, I think Amy Lee is talking about a kind of rebirth. She had went through some very trying times, but, even it's not completely finish, she's hoping again, living again, believing again in the life through the person she loves, this person who bring her to life. The secret door that she's talking about is the door of her new life. She's getting one last look behind her. Tears still shine on her cheeks, but they are no more tears of pain but melancholy's tears ("Don't fight my tears cause they feels so good"). She's totally lost in her broken life ("To lost to lose"), but she trusts in the person she loves who is reconstructing her ("Feed the fire till my soul breathes free"). Her words are optimistic, she's passing this secret door with her love ("Follow my love through the same secret door"), she's hoping that she will be happy again ("I will remember how to fly").

I think it, s about dreaming, or rather a specific dream. "my heart is high as the waves above me. Don't need to understand. Too lost to lose. " in the dream is something beautiful, something the makes her happy. Maybe it's her sister, I don't know. She knows it isn't real, but it's ok, she doesn't need to understand it. She already so lost, it doesn't matter what happen's, she has nothing to lose anymore. "don't fight my tears, cuz they feel so good" even pain is better than nothing, it's pretty simple.
"and i, i will remember how to fly. Unlock the heavens in my mind. Follow my love back through the same secret door" I feel like she's saying she woke up, but it's ok, she'll get back to that dream. She'll remember how to fly. Ulnocking that secret place in her mind that is so wonderful. She going to take the same path there as her loved one did.
"look past the end. It's a dream, as it's always been. All life lives on if we've ever loved it" looking past the end of the dream, she knows she'll see that person again because she loved them.
The more you think about it, the more since it makes that she's talking about her sister.

I know almost all of her songs are for her sister, and this one is too, but it kind of reminds me of the ocean, like wandering into the ocean and never coming back, going missing at sea, because of the music and the words--the harp, for one, and the words: waves high above you, like they were about to crash down and destroy your boat; too lost to lose; look past the end, it's a dream.

She is clearly speaking of a deep pain that is making her heart be torn but she doesn't fight it because it feels so good in leading her to god she says she will remember to fly because we are from heaven and we used to fly and open the heavens in my mind self explainitory i'll follow my love back through the same secret door either our lord or another angel is she refering to godbless you amy my heart is torn as well but just a little farther now soon we will be ascending into heaven and those who read this that are like us you all will as well.
