Carrie Underwood – Jesus Take The Wheel lyrics
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy
With the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was
Running low on faith and gasoline

It'd been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind
And she didn't pay attention
She was going way too fast
And before she knew it she was spinning
On a thin black sheet of glass

She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was so scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

It was still getting colder
When she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby
In the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray

She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on

Jesus take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me
Oh, why, oh...

"Jesus take the wheel, take it from my hands" is a very powerful command. At this point of the song, the woman has realized that she doesn't have the power to control what happens after getting into the car accident. She needs the power of God. By saying this powerful command she gives her whole spirit, body and mind to Jesus, allowing him to have full control of her life. “ Cause I can't do this on my own,” she is admitting this to Jesus that she needs his presence, his hold spirit to guide her out of this tragedy. She won’ t be able to get out of this accident without him. Forgiveness is never ending with the Lord all mighty, asking for his presence, his help, is all Jesus wants people to do. “ She bowed her head to pray,” releasing any doubt or anger, any emotion that she couldn’ t control, to Jesus. He than became in control. (Ms. Lee rocks my socks!)

Jesus take the wheel. It's like surrendering everything on his hand because we can't bare it anymore and it's better to lift everything in God's hands. It feels so good to know that our life is being led by him. We will never be wrong if He's the one leading our life. If ever we commit mistake, god will make a way to make things in our favor.
Remember, Jesus said, "cast your burdens upon me those who are heavily labored..." and he even said, "come to me and i will give you rest". Right? Let's hold on to this because that's what's stated in the bible. Let's offer everything to him and him alone.
God is good, all the time.

The first time I had this song I felt it was for me. Because it was a time in my life when I had almost lost all hope and faith. I listened to the song over and over again and decided to let Jesus take the wheel of my life because he is the author and finisher of our Faith He can handle situations that are beyond human control.

The song tells the story of a young mother who lives a hectic life. On her late-night drive on a snow-covered road in Cincinnati, Ohio, the woman begins sorting out her emotions and bemoans not having enough time to do the things that really matter. Then, her car hits a patch of black ice, causing the woman to lose control of her car. She panics, takes her hands off the steering wheel and cries out to Jesus; shortly thereafter, the car stops spinning and safely stops on the shoulder. After taking stock of the situation (and seeing that her baby has remained fast asleep in the rear seat), the woman decides to let "Jesus take the Wheel" of her life.

Praise the Lord for His Vicarious death.,. He died for us to save in this world of sin. I think the point of this song is that in ourselves, we can do nothing. We are nothing before God. That's why we need Him cause He is everything to us! And with God We can do everything.
So you must lay down all your anxiety, problems etc. To the Lord.
Imagine. The Lord had gone many processes like he became a man. And live a life of human. And he was crucified, died and ascended in the heavens and became a life giving Spirit! And after 3 days He resurrected from the dead. From the very high God he pass through many processes He humbled Himself to reach us and He became the Life Giving Spirit for us to receive Him! How can we receive the Lord!
It is just by calling on the name of the Lord be open to him and say " Lord Jesus ! I want to receive you" you must be baptist into the name of the Lord not into tne name of the name of denominations. But in the Lord's name. To call upon the name of the Lord you must. Contact Him in your prayers to call the name of the Lord is like this " Oh! Lord Jesus! And say to Him that you love Him! Praise Him to the uttermost!

This song tells the story of a young mother going hoing home to see her parents, in Cincinnatti. She'd had it rough that year, possibly having started a new job in January or February, or gotten fired or laid off, or had to quit after who knows how long; anyway, point is, she had a lot on her mind, and wasn't paying close attention to the road ahead, like she should have been, with it being so late at night, not to mention, pitch dark outside. Suddenly, she hits a patch of black ice, and the car spins out of control. She throws her hands up, letting go of the wheel, begging Jesus to take over, pretty much saying "ok Lord, I get the message. I give up; I'm all Yours. You and I both know, I can't do this on my own; I need You." When the finally comes to a stop in the ditch, she looks back to check on her baby, like any good mother would, and cries in happiness and relief, when she sees her baby sleeping soundly and peacefully in the back seat, as though nothing had happened.
