Wow, if only there was just one meaning, but that is one of the amazing things about Darren Hayes, and artists in general, they take all the feelings and thoughts etc. That you didn't know how to put into words and they put into a song or poem or something and it's always better than any way you could have described it. When you love somebody and you give and you give and you give and they leave, it sucks and it hurts, and it's one of the pains without visible wound when you wear a smile. They convince you that the only person you can trust or depend on is them and that they are the only person who could ever really love you and then once they get inside you they leave or they convince you that you're not meant for love and that makes me wonder if I really am unlovable, I've spent most of my life changing to be what other people want me to be, it's amazing at what someone would do for love. This song just leaves me truly speechless and these words don't even begin to do justice to this song and it's very breathtaking =]
