In 1952 I was shipping home from Korea. Our troop ship was leaving from Sasebo Japan. There was a lot of hooting and hollering when group of young Japanese girls came out and sang Now is the hour in Japanese and English. I think as one all those men realized that a great adventure in their lives had ended. There was dead silence as these young girls sang that song. I will never forget that moment.
