This song isn't about anything intelligent with a profound message to gossip about, but it's a song that deserves recognition. Even though some people may not like Ke$ha, the general public does and that speaks volumes. She may not be a preference to many people but music is about having fun and letting loose. It's a party track and people just need to take the stick outta their a$$es and lighten up.

I don't think this song has any political meaning to it. He is talking about celebrities and their overly exaggerated fame (distinct metaphor). When he says "all the right moves in all the right faces" he's talking about how celebrities get more famous by hanging around people with higher/equal status than them. Essentially, once you're seen with Paris Hilton, Rob Pattinson, or Nicole Richie, everybody starts to get curious about you and want to know more. He also talks about people being "fake" and "sounding just like you do" as in specifically calling out artists in the music industry (the metaphoric theme of the whole song). What I really think the song is about is how artists have changed the music industry and how people who can't sing is able to get record deals by using autotune and computerized vocals to make hits just because they may be famous or has the right s** appeal (Paris Hilton, Vanessa Hudgens, etc). Essentially, when he says "yeah, we're going down" he means that the public will get the idea that wait, this artist's voice is totally fake and lipsynchs (example). And what's interesting is that he uses "we" as in he includes himself rather than isolating "you". I think he emphasizes "we" because the people he's calling out will affect him as a real creative artist in the music industry. They will eventually ruin the reputation of music for everyone.
