A7xddict, I honestly think your meaning is way off. When it says newborn life it's talking about how we all die & the next generation replaces us & it's talking about eternal life. I think the girl & Matt were married in the video, the girl was pregnant, they were poor & he was stealing so they could live, but he got caught & I think the girl already had the baby by the time she got hit b/c I think that was supposed to be the baby after Matt got out of jail. The song's basically about how all our lives are short & we all wonder if there is eternal life & if there is are we going to heaven or hell.
