I totally agree that this song is incredible, hauntingly beautiful. I think it's about acceptance of impending death, reconciling one's life, and awaiting whatever comes next. The song reminds me of Nick Drake's songs "Northern Sky" and "From the Morning," and the Secret Machine's version of Dylan's "Girl from the North Country" (on their "The Road Leads Where It's Led" EP).
