This song is about Sid's depression and how he was going out of his mind and yes he did do alot of drugs but come on who did not back then he just happend to have mental issues on top of the drug useage and then he lost his mind but the others made the best of what they had left and that was the memories of what a truely gifted man Sid was and continued on with the best music ever made as far as I am concerend I think most of the "kids" posting on here only wish they were from the floyd generation that way they could appreciate what real music is.
