Sure, it might he might be singing about finally finding his true love, but I think differently.
I think the song's about being in love with a person he thinks is the one, and relates it back to the first time he ever thought he was ever in love, because when you think about it, the first time you were ever in love, it felt so amazing, and when you finally find the one, it's that same feeling.
