Great song. Its pretty much the most christian song they have haha well since dallas left. It's pretty much just saying that when the time comes, and you have to make the choice, will you make the right one? Will you be let into heaven, or have you lived your life all wrong. It's more of a warning, to reinvent your exit is to change how your living your life. Pretty badass.

I'm kinda seeing this as being sarcastic, about how the older generation is constantly saying s*t like "these kids nowadays have no respect!". Obviously enter shikari isn't a huge fan of the elderly. Which is great: D I also kinda see this as being rebellios to the idea that when your parents get old, your supposed to support them. But they are pointing out that if they showed you no respect growing up, why do it to them when they are decrepit old people.

I completely agree with holly. He keeps trying to get her attention, but gets shut down every time he tries(the curtain goes down on him again). Or, maybe it is talking about him personally, and him being in the spotlight, and the girl thinks since he is the frontman for a band he will be an a* like a lot of them are. He is freaking about it because its like the first time someone has totally turned him down again and again.

This song is about someone getting abducted, and at first is scared to death! But once he is released, he realizes how much better it would have been to just stay on the mothership(My soul felt so safe up there; no self-centered natives destroying our earth). He is called insane, and possibly commited? Before the aliens returned him they just left him with one bit of knowledge"your answers were always lying on the ocean floor". This makes me think of Atlantis, the lost city. Stories originally told of how it was sunk by the gods, which many ruins have depicted as alien life forms. At the end, he decides to search for these answers and fight his fear of the unknown(Walk the plank! Your answers, were always lying on the ocean floor). There is definitely another meaning to this though, since its started from the previous song, which voiced thier horror at the earths destruction, and some being that has waited for 1, 000 years to come back reaping its veangence for us destroying their home, this is the second part to it.

I see this song as being about the fact that people always talk of wanting change, but never really do anything to get it. Sure they are willing to protest and talk about the problems(behind closed doors! Ha title: P) but we as a country aren't willing to do any actuall work for it. Were not willing to risk it. "the hurt we feel we have all earned"-we are the ones who let the problems get as far as they have, so we deserve the problems. So if we want them fixed, we need to grow some balls and do it ourselves. Brilliant song. I absolutely love rise against. They are amazingly good at pointing out political and societal issues.

Such an amazing song. I'm a little late on this post, but o well because it still deserves it! This song is great because it can pull out so many different emotions and feelings in just about anyone. It's relatable, it tells a story, and its honest. Atl is great about this. Alex is great at conveying his thoughts and feelings to the crowd. He just sounds like he is geniun(i can't spell:/) and! The acoustic version is seriously good.
