I can't derive any 9-11 meaning from this song. To me, it is a song regarding aids, hence the "angels" reference, which could refer to the film "City of Angels". "This is to one last day in the shadows (shadows=keeping sexuality hid and at your death, it will be revealed), And to know a brother's love". "I wanna feel, all the chemicals inside I wanna feel"- the huge amount of medications people living with aids must take day to live another day.
