I think it's about someone a girl who's a friend of a guy's girlfriend. She's telling bad stuffs about a the girl's boyfriend and she's selling him out to her bestfriend because he wants the guy for herself.
Well that's what I think.
All I know is the song speaks to me.
My ex boyfriend also did the same to me. He told bad stuffs about me. And told his guy friend about the things I did which weren't true. And that gave me a bad impression to his bestfriend whom I really like.

He loves a girl so much that though he's leaving her for something he has to do, but still he want's her to wait for him because she loves her. And he hopes that when he returned she'll welcome her with open arms.
Distance is the bridge we build to the one's we love. So if we really love someone we should wait for them. And let's try to understand why they're leaving us.
