This song is all about a guy falling in love with her friend. Without having enough courage to admit how he really feels towards her friend. And being scared of the feeling that if he admit to her friend how he really feels he is afraid that he might be rejected or lost the friendship.
Its also asking for forgiveness for falling inlove with her friend. Although deep inside him he wanted her to know so badly.
