What I believe this song talks about is there are people that struggle with life situations. It doesn't matter how positive one person manages to stay, every single day we, as the human race, fight a war every single day. Whether it be depression, autism, anorexia, down syndrome, no matter what it is that you are going through. We all fight a certain type of war on the inside of us. In the music video for Another Lost Year's song "War On The Inside", it references drug addiction, which is also an example of a war that is fought in every day life. One could suffer from schizophrenia, dementia, post traumatic stress disorder, etc. Those are more examples of wars that we fight on the inside. Aside from that, we fight wars on the outside world as well. We are fighting wars as we speak right now. There's a lot of stuff going on in the Middle East right now and it's your job to get informed and know what's going on in your every day life. Even I fight a war on the inside! I have autism, but does that change the way most people look at me? No it doesn't! So basically this song is mainly about the struggles of every day life, hence the title "War On The Inside.".
