"I learned to live half alive". That really brought tears to my eyes. That's exactly how I have felt for the past few months. I'm going through a really rough time in my relationship and I'm ready for it to end but my boyfriend is forcing me to stay with him. In July we went on vacation and we had a great time but as soon as we got home, he started telling me he just doesn't have a connection to me anymore. For months he refused to kiss me or touch me at all. He hasn't slept with me in months. He drives my car because his is broken down and I have only been able to leave my house maybe 5 times in the last month. I just can't take it anymore, and now he's acting completely different and making me feel like I'm going crazy. He keeps saying we have to stay together and work on things but I just don't even think it's worth it anymore. He's the one that suggested we break up in the first place, and now that I'm agreeing with him, he's changing his mind. We've been together for 4 years and we're buying a house so it's going to be really hard. But this song has just reassured me that I'm making the right decision and I need to follow through. I need my life back!
