Good ole' Daffy Duck. I think that Mel Blanc was the absolute best voice the pictures ever found. Since he knew all the voices, he would simply make new ones up as he went through life. He was the best. Daffy duck's voice was extremely creative. It sure must have been a mess when he was done with a Daffy Duck cartoon. Geez, talk about slobbering! It didn't bother him, but I'm sure it got the sound man. I just had to look this up to see if it was there. I'm over 67 years old and still have that 78rpm record. It is certainly a classic. I wish I knew the statistics on that song and record. I'll bet they were slipping and sliding in that recording studio after recording and re-recording that one. I doubt if they had the sophisticated editing facilities we have now or even 20 years ago. This may have been done over and over on a wire recorder or maybe on a full blown record cutting lathe. He made it around the time I was born. Awesome! What a great performer. Couldn't be better. Great song (because it's classical music as most cartoons used back then) great lyrics, and great performance. I still wish there was someone to take his place. But sadly - no!
