The inner glow that lets you know
To call your brother son
The story that just begun
The promise of what's to come
And I'm 'a remain a soldier till the war is won
The last part of the song refers to the mission of the unconscious mind, the greater mind or godhead. The unconscious (Huey) is forever seeking to connect with the conscious mind (Riley) and influence it towards truth, justice, peace and harmony. Once it has achieved this alchemy within itself, it looks to continue to spread enlightenment to other individuals throughout society by whatever means necessary. Since truth and love always wins in the end over ignorance and hate, true good over evil, it will naturally remain a solider until the war is won.

I'm the spark that makes your idea bright
These lines reference “illumination” or “true enlightenment”. Which we all hold deep within ourselves. As well as the fall into duality. (left/right, good/evil, conscious/unconscious, dark/light, day/night, black/white, male/female etc.)

I am the visual
The inspiration
That made lady sing the blues
Blues was originally sang by African Slaves while being forced to work the fields of America. As a means to relieving the pain of their work and expressing the sorrow in their lives, slaves would sing while they worked. Myths and legends evolved out of this same struggle and the very first civil rights hero’s of the African Americans were imaginary myths (aka. “the visual”). Legends such as“The Legend of John Henry “ and the “The Legend of John the Conquer” were tales that spread from plantation to plantation and always involved a slave overthrowing their oppressor for the sake of freedom and justice. These heroes often had the superhuman strength of 10 or more men, which is in an important quality for someone who feels as though they have no strength at all.

I am the stone that builder refused
This is a reference to the scared rites of Freemasonry and being rejected from the ruling class of the world. The masons became very powerful by withholding exclusive information in regards to building construction. This is honoured today by their compass and square logo which were the tools of the ancient masons. They used their exclusive knowledge to become rich and powerful because their clients were always Churches, Kings & Queens. The stone that is rejected becomes the Cornerstone in ceremonial masonry. This is considered the most important stone. The Cornerstone was originally the first stone laid during the construction of a building, but as time went on it became the rejected stone and was placed last on the east side of the building. This reflects the scapegoat and the original spiritual teachings going underground. The Cornerstone contains the name of the building architect, date of construction and any other important info. In the Book of Ephesians 2:20, Jesus Christ is referred to as “the Cornerstone” for the same reason. Naturally, Freemasonry predates Christianity.

Meaning
In the show Riley Freeman and Huey Freeman are actually one person. Riley is the conscious mind while Huey is the unconscious mind. This is the key to understanding the entire show. Huey only knows the truth, only speaks the truth and always acts in accordance with the higher laws and principals of creation. This is how he is wise beyond his years. He is aware of all the manipulation that goes on in society at all levels and is able to see things for what they are, rather then how they appear to be on the surface level. Thus he never gets hung up on people’s age, race, gender, sexual orientation, material wealth or social status, but is solely interested in the contents of their mind and the quality of their character. He is also the fastest and strongest character in the show for this reason. He also has the ability to have prophetic dreams, which is a natural occurrence of an illuminated mind. Riley is the conscious part of the mind and is conditioned (brainwashed) by society to behave a certain way and is also very egotistical. Riley lacks the ability to think clearly and chooses to focus on social trends, fitting it, being cool, watching television and generally being ignorant. He is unable to see the flaws in himself, society, other people and generally respects individuals based on material wealth and their social status. He is also a homophobe as a cover for the fact that he is actually gay himself. Deep down Riley knows he is being suppressed but he is not sure who to blame and often thinks in terms too simple to ever reach the bigger picture or to get anywhere.
