The lyrics on this site, and many other sites, are wrong. It's not "when they hear der Bingo croon." It should be "when they hear der Bingle croon." In the 1940's, "der Bingle" was a well known nick name for Bing Crosby. It doesn't make any sense to say "der Bingo croon." I have never heard of any singer referred to as "der Bingo."
