Stumbled upon this song while working. I feel like the lyrics are self explanatory but if I had to say anything on its meaning I'd say its about love. Its a song about finding the person you love and wanting to spend every moment next to them. "All I want is to lie with you, in the bluebells beneath the trees" Bluebells are a symbolic flower representing humility, gratitude and everlasting love. The third stanza to me means that even if the two people in the relationship lead two different modes of life, its only a "state of mind" because you are still thinking of the other person no matter what you do, or no matter where they/you are. "You're the best thing in my life" signifies the gratitude you have towards the other person in the relationship. You are grateful to have that person in your life and to share that love with them. I think everyone can relate to this song on some level because we have all been with someone we are so happy to be with and share our lives with. All we want to do is keep them by our side and be close to them. Such a sweet song. It reminds me of a person I used to be with every time I hear it.
