"Look Homeward Angel" is about A military person trying to get information from home. Prior to the tech age the deployed military had to communicate with their mind, heart and soul.
The mail delivery was the most important activity of the day. The mail brought all the news from home, and the song comforted the military man as well as those it was shared with.
