The girl is leaving, but she's done it many times. They get back together, but they're just like small meals, to suffice the heart, and then they part ways again. But since they keep getting back together, the hope of getting back together never discipates because they are afraid of "falling in the ocean," or having to "find another fish in the sea." Get it? The girl tells the guy she needs time to grow, obviously, and he says "how long do I have to wait?" He pretends that his body is his, because he wants to move on, but ultimately, he knows his heart is hers. But he's not going to get jealous if she sees someone else, because it would be the right/healthy thing to do. It's like a well-rehersed disaster. They've done it all before, but everytime they say it's going to be different, and it always ends the same. They try to distract themselves, but everytime one of them changes, it feels like everything is different. That's why they try again. Even though he knows it's not healthy, he can't help but to miss her, because he loves her. And he wants to tell her. Even though he knows what will become of it.
