They became Mirrors of one another after a very long time and a lot of mistakes. She knows all of his skeletons and came to accept them. She remembers having fun and the good times. She knows he's always there. But letting go of your current reality is not easy so she hangs on to the memories - it's one of the stages of grief.

Dance is a metaphor for Purpose. When you're on Purpose - there is nothing anyone can see but that.It's all-encompassing and exquisitely beautiful!
That's my interpretation - even though I have no idea what JT had in mind when he sang it. And please - no spoilers - LOL!
Being on Purpose is Magic and I hope that everyone gets to feel that!
