Choose your path in life. Stick to it. People all around you are always going to be F'd up, or just have their own way of thinking. The moment you understand that no single individual can possibly tell you how to live your life, or how to think, you can begin to think for yourself.
Lets see, Benjimen Baneker wasn't born rich, nor was, James Hetfield, Bill Gates, etc. The point is we have an opportunity to succeed in the usa to make our lives anything we want, if we are resourceful and independent.

This song has a personal meaning to me. No-one is perfect, never allow someone to achieve godlike status in my mind. Keep everyone human, and never allow myself or anyone else to deceive myself.
There are no gods, and if there were, they wouldn't be human.
If someone seems perfect to me, then guess what, they are abnormal, crazy, insane. They kind of lose that perfect label in my mind that way. Don't ya think?

My personal interpretation of this song differs from most. I have spent many years trying to help people to get what they say they want. My ex-wife, friends, as well as family members. I have sacrificed my time, money and energy to help them sort out their obsticles. When they become their own obsticle, I point it out, and I get rejected. I become the victim of their nit-picking, and they seek revenge by gossiping to my aquatences. This song has made me realize to embrace the things that these people call flaws, to build on them, and to take pride in the fact that I do these " flaws " better then anyone else.
