This song reflects strongly on the media and many stars and models in the media, who're well known and always in the limelight of the press. It touches on the fact that many idols, underneath all the fame can be fowl people and if fans were to see them in their true skins, may not want to know them anymore. It also entails that it can get "complicated" when people finally realise that who they look up to isn't perfectly airbrushed as they see everywhere else.

Like love but without the true meaning or true part of selflessness.
