He left me but he left me for good. He fought so hard to stay alive but God finally took him. I just knew today and it breaks my heart.
I wrote a poem for him to remember him by -
Our story is a love that could have been great and true if we had given a chance to make it come true.
You fought a hard battle. I’m sorry you had to suffer from it all.
I’m sorry, I was not able to be with you.
But now, God eased your pain and gave you rest.
You will be in His embrace.
I will forever cherish you in my heart.
You left me with what ifs…
You left me with broken heart.
But the words you so long to hear from me… are the last words you heard until you forever close your eyes.
And once again…
I love you, my love.
