I think it means that everybody needs somebody to make that call sometimes. The man was about to take his own life and his best friend called and stopped him without the friend knowing what he was really doing. That was an instance when he needed that friend just to call and change his whole day. Then the 18 year old that had the baby. Her boyfriend called and stopped evrything just in time. I think that God has a way of getting to people and stopping things before they happen.
