Actually, this song is about Joseph 'Ricky' Beasly. When he was 18 he robbed a grocery store with some of his friends. And when they were getting away, his friend shot and killed an innocent bystander. Then they got caught. And because he was with them and helped rob it the judge sentenced him to life. And while he was in jail he started to get religious, so his cell mates shanked him one day. Sad story.
