I think this song is about someone who almost died, but then survived, and it changed their perspective on life, and he now believes in god. People say his experience is good for poetry. He keeps having dreams about the experience, and science tells him he's wrong, and that what he feels or saw isn't real, and that it was all in his mind. Then he feels that his life before was not leading him to god, but now he will change that. He wants to tell people what he went through so that they can change their lives, but nobody will believe him because they did not go through it. The world keeps saying that god isn't real, and that everything he believes is wrong, and that its all in his mind.

I think this song is about someone who went through something bad, and did not tell the other person. They ended up breaking up, and if the other person had just told the other what they felt, or been honest, they could've stayed together. But the other person just couldn't do it because their ego was too big. Now their life stinks because they don't know how to fix their problem, but only with time will it be fixed.
Or this song is about someone going through a personal problem, and they just can't to be able to fix it by themselves, and the problem is ripping them up, but they just can't seem to tell anyone because it would hurt their ego.
