This song seems like it was written about my life (just hopefully not the last verse). I joined the marine corps and had to leave home and leave my girl sitting there waiting for me to come back home. I'm not asking her to wait for me, just hoping she does so by her own free will, but I know even if she doesn't, I will always be in her heart. I, without a doubt in my mind, know she is the only one for me and we will be together again. I will be waiting for her even if she decides not to do the same for me. One year down, only four more to go.
