I think this song is trying to say that when life throws struggles at you that you have seek the silver lining out on a dark cloud. If you don't look through the rose colored glasses you only dive deeper into all the mess in your life. Life is only what we make it. And sometimes you just have to keep smiling and pull through the struggles, even when it hurts most. There is no solution to the problem, all you can do is go with the flow. So just breathe.
