Speechless. And so relatable. Speaks to me of the brokenness that is an addictive relationship. Being addicted to another person's being. There was no willpower every time we saw each other. Break-up after break-up after break-up. This song speaks of the day you finally set yourself free of the pain. With the intonation that addictive love can never really be set free. But the inner torment of trying to be strong and trying to convince yourself you have moved past it all the while knowing he broke you. The bittersweet release of the hurt that created the "us".
