I've Ben A SRV fan all the way from the beginning. And I CAME ACROSS THE LIVE VERSION.Years ago i had taped it off the radio.And i listen to it over And over. Now that version is widely available it he says exactly what he means.I think its all about getting your life together and being there for the ones who need you and love you!I have lived a life of alcohol & drugs just like Stevie did and that not always the right way to live. I Know he was sober and living a good life and trying to make amends.And pass along what he believed in .also someone he loved dearly had passed and he regretted the wasted time.that wasn't based on loving that person back.as i have just lost my wife who was my everything.and i spent so much time wasting the magical life We we shared .So i have been streaming this live version for months at least once a night.being that i cant sleep or function.so as stevie would want me to say .iT'S TIME TO COME HOME EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE AND TAKE CARE OF THE ONES WHO NEED YOU AND LOVE YOU THE MOST! I KNOW I DO' PS.i find a new version all the time
