I think from the MV and Lyrics itself, typecast is portraying a dying long-distance relationship, I am going to base my answer on the music video, the girl left the boy and promised to come back, maybe it has been years and she has not kept her promise and left him entirely. In the start, you can see him drinking, a man only gets drunk when he either is going to take a heavy choice or decision that will alter his life forever or when he is trying to forget something or someone. He then reminds himself of their sweet memories up to where he left her, and the necklace which I suppose is left by her and her seal for her promise, he decides to accept the fact that she is never coming back and he needs to let go of the memories she had left behind. It's a happy tale with a bittersweet ending, this is like a scream that you need to wake up and accept reality, it's a reoccurring theme nowadays many killing themselves due to the fact that they can't accept the painful reality. But they need to see after they let go and accept, it feels great
