This is talking about a man and wanting to fall in love with a beautiful woman, but the world around them is ugly, making looks change and make her seem ugly on the inside, he is the beautiful one while he wishes them both to be ugly, in the end it's all heart break. She doesn't love him back like he does her, so he gives up and tells her "Your just too good,that's why i can't have you."

I think it means like when your life is just about over you see all your memories go by you and sorta makes a little story that your going through and you finally have an ending, and your in the hospital on your death bed like depth said, and you finally wonder "what was i thinking,i really got what i deserved for living this life like i did,no love,always complaining,i should of listened to them..."
Don't take my comment as a oh this is making fun of emo kids, well it's not, cuz I am one, and this song means the world to me.
