This song is basically telling you to be yourself and who cares what everyone else thinks. Be yourself. Man. Have we conformed so long that even the meaning of "originality" has escaped us?
Folks, just be yourself, and your true friends and loved ones will accept you. And if they don't. Well. "Don't give a hoot". Don't be a poser! You deserve to at least be true to yourself!
