From what I gather from the legacy of Fear Factory's lyrics and the epic story it contains, this song is about the machines trying to convince the last remnants of humanity to just give up, surrender or suicide. There is no hope and the machines cannot understand why the humans won't just lie down and die, they still cling to something the machines can't understand.
