I think his tone is revolutionary. He is trying to give us an angry mood as listeners, because his theme is that most hip hop artists are tricking us by not showing the world as it really is. He shows us the street life that is full of crime and death, and compares it to the rappers' world--wanting more "champagne" and naked women. This is sarcasm. His author's purpose is to show us his version of reality and criticize those who pull the "hood" over our eyes.
