To me, this song is about Alice in Chains as a band, not as the group of people playing, but as the thought, as if she was a human being. She was probably shaken deep, after one of the founders passed away ("Faceless, blind"), but it wasn't only Layne that made the band what it is, and the other members wanted to continue and make music ("Take her out again"). It tells how the members have changed over time ("In a bodiless embrace, Thriving I have grown"), thanks to it, and the experiences it gave the guys. As of the "Continue after I am done" line, I believe Jerry meant it more for the other members, then to the general public. He, and I believe Layne also, would like to see the band move on even without him.
