Who wants to live forever was written at a sad time for Queen. I am led to believe this was penned by Brian May in late 1986, at the time May was going through a divorce and Freddie Mercury had just found out he was HIV positive. 'But touch my tears with your lips, touch my world with your fingertips and we can have forever' essentially is Mercury's way of saying 'I won't be around much longer, but don't feel bad for me, live with me'. This, to some degree sounds bittersweet as Mercury knew his days were limited, yet he was still determined to produce, not just songs but full albums.

This song is written about the struggle Williams was going through with drugs and Red Bull. It, in essence is an outcry to someone close to him to stick by his side, as defined in 'Come and hold my hand, I wanna contact the living'. 'My head speaks a language I don't understand' strikes at me personally, as it seems that Robbie knows what he was doing at the time was wrong but he can't find a way to stop the drink and drugs. Very powerful song.
